​Our story begins within the unique environment of our master's program, where we came together from a variety of cultural backgrounds. This diversity became our greatest strength, offering us different perspectives and new ways to approach complex tasks. In one of our courses, we were challenged with addressing a socially pressing issue. As we shared insights and ideas, we realized that some team members’ home countries were amongst the greatest licenses-holders for deep-sea mining operations. This sparked a shared commitment within our team: we saw an opportunity to influence a new industry by guiding it toward sustainable practices from the early stages. The path ahead may be long and challenging, but our vision is clear.
